Tutoret is a marketplace that connects students and parents with independent tutors for 1:1 online sessions. Tutors set their own prices; Tutoret runs the classroom, handles payment and pays tutors after sessions are completed.
A first session with a tutor is charged at half the tutor’s listed price. Further sessions are paid for one at a time when they are booked. Payment is taken through our payment partner and is confirmed only when the partner notifies us; a redirect back to Tutoret is not confirmation.
A session counts as delivered when both parties confirm it, or automatically 24 hours after its end time if nobody raises a problem. Problems can be reported within 48 hours of a session and are reviewed by Tutoret.
Sessions are recorded only when the student agreed to recording at booking time. Recordings are available to both participants for 90 days and then deleted.
